Four of Brighton & Hove’s leading arts and health organisations; the Robin Hood Health Foundation (RHHF), The Old Market (TOM), Creative Future (CF) and Diversity & Ability (D&A) have come together to form The HERA Partnership. (Healing Expressive and Recovery Arts Project)

Over the next 3 years, the partnership will be developing & delivering an innovative and varied programme of inclusive arts & health focussed activities for people living with complex or long-term health challenges. This will include creative workshops, training, access support for low confidence, and public events to showcase the creativity and diversity of Brighton & Hove. #HeraForYou

 

Creative Future and The Hera Partnership

Creative Future is one of four Brighton based organisations that have come together to form the Hera Partnership.

The Hera Partnership is a 3-year programme of Arts Health & Wellbeing for the people of Brighton & Hove. The programme consists of a range of opportunities including artist-facilitated participatory workshops, training & networking support for emerging and existing creative professionals, artists residencies, 1:1 assessments and assistive technology support, Health & Wellbeing-focused arts programming and public engagement opportunities.

Creative Future will be delivering a range of training opportunities for creatives as well as networking opportunities & arts programming.

The focus of the work of Creative Future is to help to:

  • Build a networked cohort of skilled arts & health professionals in the city
  • Ensure equality of opportunity for artists facing barriers
  • Value the diversity of experience that will enrich the programme
  • Deepen and enrich public understanding of the possibilities of arts & health
  • Grow opportunities for arts & health practice by engaging arts/health/care/policy professionals
  • Contribute to public conversations about arts & health
  • Change public perceptions of the experience of poor health, disability & neurodiversity
